We thought we should explain some things to our customers about our freight pricing and how to make sure you get charged the correct amount for your DIY Frameless Glass project.

Deliveries of panels of glass and additional hardware.

Firstly we have our network of distributors located in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Dandenong South and Derrimut in Melbourne and Kilburn in Adelaide. If you live within our delivery zones for these dispatch centres then we can deliver your order for under $200.00. Due to the special handling required for glass and the weight that is involved (large panels can weigh up to 70kg) this is the ideal solution. However, not everyone lives within these areas so we have come up with the best solution possible for our rural customers or customers that need deliveries to other cities. One of the best thing about our website is that it allows our rural customers to have the first class look that glass fencing and balustrade gives to your property. Generally, we find that someone who is able to run a farm or large property can find the skills needed to build the project.

The freight companies that we deal with are unable to deliver to residential addresses unless you have a forklift on site. That is because the glass will be packed into a specially designed crate and packed by our team at one the dispatch centres. Normally the crates end up weighing at least 200kg once you throw a couple of panels in and some spigots, it adds up quickly. Some of our orders weigh up to 2000kg. So, when the crate reaches its destination freight companies will not allow you to unload each panel of glass individually due to workplace health and safety. We can however have it delivered to your nearest freight depot. Most rural areas have a freight depot that is close the nearest town. The freight company will in most cases be happy to place your crate on to a flat bed ute or trailer with their forklift and you can unpack your crate once you get it to where you want it. Please note that all Sydney orders will be delivered to a Depot in or around Eastern Creek NSW.

For smaller orders of specialist pool fence hardware

For the smaller orders that our customers make that might be a few pieces of hardware weighing under 2-3kg we generally place these in an Australia Post satchel and can take up to 5 business days to arrive. Or we may use a courier company that can deliver it within a day or two. A good example of this is when a customer order 4 small stainless steel rigis, (https://diyframelessglass.com.au/product/clamp-ss316-rigi-small/)  these are great for keeping your glass fence line straight and can be on your doorstep within days of ordering.

Please request a freight price

As you can see freight is different for every order that we send out. Due to the size and weight of our larger DIY Frameless Glass orders we first need to get confirmation from our freight carriers of the price. As this can vary a lot depending on where you are and what you are getting delivered. That is why we ask you to send through a list via email to sales@diyframelessglass.com.au so we can get a weight and size of your order and request a price from the freight company. We pass these costs directly on to our customer, of course with no markup. By passing on the actual freight cost to our customer we can continue providing our quality products at the best possible price. There is no other costs hidden in our pricing.

We are keeping our prices as low as possible for you so you can save big on your glass pool fence or glass balustrade project. Once we have a consignment number for your parcel, package or crate we will forward this to you so you can track in real time the progress and location of your order. We will make sure your name is on the goods so that all you will have to have to pick up from a depot is your identification and the consignment number. We are available if there are any problems.

We want to make sure that you are ordering the correct products that you need for your project and that you can pay for everything, freight included with one easy transaction. That’s why it is important to make sure you contact us via email before placing and paying for your order to make sure we get it right for you the first time.

Please call or send an email using the contact form with your freight enquiry today and we will get back to you with a complete package price, freight included.
Please note, orders of that length are likely to incur higher than normal freight charges due to the size. If pick up from our depots is not available then please email prior to completing transaction for a freight price.
