What type of post do I need to hinge a Gate off?

We have “Heavy Duty” stainless steel posts available to suit.  We do not recommend standard post or aluminium posts. If hanging a gate off a post, we also recommend that the post be core drilled for extra stability.  However, if using a base plated post (ie for timber installs) we recommend further bracing the post to the adjoining wall / glass for stability.
